About The Project

The detailed plan that we built covered centralization of orders for multiple sale channels into one system. To improve efficiency, we designed and deployed a highly advanced and also flexible multi-component order management, shipment tracking and reporting system. With the client, we consulted frequently during the whole project and made changes as needed to guarantee that the system would fulfill the client’s requirements successfully. This led to a clear and efficient order handling process and gave a clear view of all the operations of the company.

Business Goal

The client came to us for a solution which would combine all the orders from the eStore, Amazon, eBay, PayPal and Offline orders to make it an order management system. They sought to minimize overlapping of tasks, increase productivity, and get an integrated, up-to-date outlook on all order related processes in order to optimize the performance in the business and satisfaction of the

Fragmented Multi-Channel Orders

The challenges present at the client end in terms of managing the orders were that they had web sales, which involved a self-built eCommerce website and online marketplaces such as amazon, eBay, PayPal, and offline orders through telephonic orders. This made each of them to warrant individual management hence pulling the status of an order in different directions. The client struggled with how to join all these multiple channels into one system where they could effectively manage the orders, minimize the amount of paperwork required and have an overall view of the orders and end fulfillment processes.

Consolidated Order Fulfillment System

To tackle the disintegrated order processing issue of the client, we designed a consolidated Order Processing Workflow System . The orders from the Volusion, Amazon, eBay, PayPal websites and solid offline stock were also aggregated to one powerful solution hub. The solution increased order processing efficiency and order and fulfillment visibility, decreased manual work and provided a single location for all order related activities.

50% Cut in Order Processing Time

Failing to consolidate all the orders into one, would mean longer time of processing the orders and this slowed down the client’s work a lot; but, by consolidating all the orders into one proved to reduce the time in half.

40% Reduced Manual Errors

As data-entry and order consolidation replaced manual entry of the orders, we got a system that produced very few errors.

Boosted Shipping Efficiency with Real-Time Management

The client with real time shipping enhancements from USPS and FedEx could easily evaluate prices of shipping and also the labels and this enhanced their shipping and thereby cutting out delay.

One of the features of the system was that its reporting facilities were very detailed and made the client aware of his sales and results. These unified data reflected into their decisions and gave them a better understanding about their business.
